POCOHONTAS TASTE OF TREC 9 MAY
Yet again the weather forecast was not looking promising, I checked with the State Park but they would not give rain dates and so rain or shine it was going ahead, only two people decided not to take a chance! The final turnout of 7 had some excellent obstacles to practice and a lot of water in the ditches the going was otherwise very good. Definitely sounded like a storm coming in the afternoon but we decided anyway to go on the trail and it held.... Amazing, another good day!
LOUISA WEEKEND 13/14 APRIL

Congratulations to Bonnie Snodgrass the winner of our first Trec Trial for this year, thank you for making the trip down from Maryland. Bonnie finds Trec the ideal sport for her when it is difficult to put in all that is required to keep a horse endurance riding fit.

The weather did us proud on Friday despite terrible sleet and cold on Thursday the POR practice at Fluvanna Heritage trails was a good test for everyone.

Belmead are very kindly offering Camping for the weekend at $10/night plus $20 riding fee to ride the property Friday and/or Sunday outside the clinic.


Stalls/paddocks are available for $15/night if you do not have your own corral.

'Taste of Trec' Clinics


At these clinics you will enjoy an introduction to all three phases that make up a TREC competition.

Each day of instruction (minimum 4hrs) is great fun and amazing value at:

We can arrange to hold a clinic at your location to give you all a "Taste of Trec" for minimal cost (subject to availability), so go gather your members and friends and contact us to get started!

Train the Trainer

One of the primary ways in which we hope to facilitate the growth of TREC in the USA is to educate and train existing clinicians/trainers in this multi disciplinary  sport so that they may include TREC in their program of instruction.

Judging certification

Here's your chance to develop as an officially recognized Trec judge. Whether you prefer to be in the saddle or on two feet Trec offers you the opportunity to get involved in the sport from the ground up.

Trec officials and judges are highly valued within the sport and there will be numerous opportunities for individuals to establish themselves as a leading authority in the sport of Trec.
